the program

We'll pick you up from your hotel in El Gouna, Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay, Soma Bay, or Safaga in the morning with a private, air-conditioned vehicle. We'll then drive you from Hurghada to Aswan and Abu Simbel. The route from Hurghada to Aswan is 520 km, and we'll travel via Luxor. We'll make breaks along the way. Upon arrival in Aswan, your Aswan & Abu Simbel tour begins. Your personal Egyptologist will show you the following sights and provide detailed explanations based on his knowledge:

1 Tag Hurghada Aswan

  • Philae Temple of the Goddess Isis on the island of Agilika: Philae (Egyptian: Pa-jrek = Island of Time [of Re]; Coptic Pilak or Pelak, also Hut-chenti [House of the Beginning]) We travel by small boat to the island of Agilkia, where the Temple of Isis, the Philae Temple, was rebuilt after the construction of the High Dam. In addition to the beautiful temple complex, the island is an absolute gem in terms of landscape. Head to the first historical sight: a visit to the Philae Temple on the island of Angilkia. Its original location was the island of Philae. The entire temple complex was relocated due to the construction of the dam. It is venerated as a sanctuary of Isis and is one of the best-preserved temples of its time. With your first moving impressions, you end the day at your hotel in Aswan.
  • Unfinished Obelisk: Admire the unfinished obelisk. It was discovered in a pit near Aswan and is made of rose granite. It is believed that the stone was in danger of cracking during work, which is why the obelisk was probably not finished. Cracks in the stone bear witness to this.
  • Lunch: To fortify yourself, we will drive to a restaurant where you will enjoy a hearty lunch.
  • Hotel Check in: After all these impressive impressions from your 1 day of the 2 day trip to Aswan, we will take you to a 5 star hotel (Inclusive: dinner and breakfast). Afterwards, enjoy dinner in your hotel and let the evening come to a close.

Second day: Excursion to Abu Simbel:

Unforgettable travel moments are guaranteed even on the way. Enjoy the unique landscape during your tour to Abu Simbel from Aswan. Upon arrival in Abu Simbel, you will visit the two rock temples on the western shore of Lake Nasser. The gigantic dimensions of the Temple of Ramses II will impress you. Even during his lifetime, he created a monument to himself and his wife. The construction of these two temples was a masterful feat. The legendary story of Ramses II and his beloved wife Nefertari, to whom the smaller temple is dedicated, is legendary.

From here your journey takes you to the Aswan Dam.

The High Dam dams the Nile to form Lake Nasser and was opened in 1971. Its incredible length is 3.5 km, it is 110 m high, and its construction took 11 years. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Aswan.

After all these wonderful impressions, enjoy lunch at a restaurant. Your private 2-day trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel concludes with the return journey to Hurghada and the transfer.
