Your English-speaking guide will be by your side in Luxor and will share his or her knowledge with you. In other words, since this excursion is private, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the sightseeing in peace and quiet, away from the crowds.

  • Karnak Tempeh

The largest temple complex in Egypt, Karnak is located in a village about 2.5 km north of Luxor and directly on the eastern bank of the Nile. The oldest visible remains of the temple date back to the 12th Dynasty under Pharaoh Sesostris. Prominent among the ruins is the Temple of Amun-Re with its ten pylons. The total area of the temple is approximately 30 hectares. The largest area of the temple complex is the Precinct of Amun. Here you can see the Sacred Lake, the Red Chapel, the White Chapel, the Alabaster Chapel, and the Temple of Opet. Of course, there is much more to explore at Karnak Temple.

Nile Excursion: Approximately 45 minutes of Nile cruise by motorboat—nothing better can offer your soul and spirit. After the included, exclusive Nile cruise, you'll arrive at a cozy and beautiful restaurant overlooking the Nile, where you can relax and enjoy your Egyptian-Oriental lunch. Afterwards, visit the Colossi of Memnon.

Excursion from Marsa Alam to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings in West Luxor (Thebes) was a necropolis in ancient Egypt. In ancient Egyptian, the Valley of the Kings was known as Sechet-aat (the Great Field). It is the largest burial site of the Egyptian pharaohs. The Valley of the Kings contains, in particular, the tombs of the rulers of the New Kingdom. The valley is located in West Thebes, opposite Karnak on the edge of the desert, and is surrounded by high mountains. Despite millennia of excavation and looting, the Valley of the Kings continues to provide Egyptologists with numerous highly valuable grave finds. In 1922, the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered largely intact by Howard Carter. The first clearly identified tomb in the Valley of the Kings belongs to Pharaoh Thutmose I. Napoleon's expedition to Egypt marked the beginning of the systematic search for and opening of tombs. You will visit three tombs in the Valley of the Kings.

Terrace Temple of Hatshepsut: The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut dates back to the 18th Dynasty and is the best-preserved temple in Thebes on the west bank of the Nile. The entire temple complex was constructed of limestone. This temple was built over a period of approximately 15 years, from the 7th to the 22nd year of Queen Hatshepsut's reign. The temple has its own unique architecture. We, the Your Holiday in Egypt team, have many years of experience with excursions to historical destinations in Egypt.
